Getting Started with Microsoft Word

In this tutorial, We’ll know how to launch Microsoft Word from your desktop and open the program:

I am assuming that you have Microsoft Word Installed on your computer and have a shortcut on your desktop:

Locate the Word shortcut: Look for the Microsoft Word icon on your desktop. It might be a blue icon with a white “W” in it.

Double-click the icon: Click the icon twice with your mouse button. This is the standard way to launch any program from a shortcut.

Wait for Word to open: It might take a few seconds for Word to launch completely. You’ll see the program window appear on your screen.

Alternative methods (if you don’t have a shortcut on your desktop):

Use the Start menu (Windows):

Click the Windows icon (usually in the bottom left corner).

In the search bar, type “Microsoft Word.”

Selected Word Application from the list of options in the start menu.

When you see “Microsoft Word” appear in the search results, click on it to launch the program.
